My favorite season is Fall, with colorful leaves, a chill in the air and All Hallows Eve approaching. My favorite Sabbat is Ostara, celebrated from March 20 to the 23rd in the Northern Hemisphere. Spring is a time of renewal, ridding yourself of bad habits and planting new growth. The Green Man represents everything that grows and his gifts are plentiful. This is the time when there is a balance between light and darkness on the Wheel of the Year. The God and Goddess are equal in energy during the Spring Equinox.
The Goddess Eostre or Oestara is often symbolized with the hare and egg. The word estrogen is from Oestrogen, and we all know that this hormone initiates sex to bring on new life. This is a time to start again with new ideas, plans and seeds. Plant the mind as you plant a garden, seed yourself to grow new life into your life.
